Strong Towns is an organization that advocates for the improvement of our cities and towns through meaningful, evidence-based, and financially-sound actions. At the core of this effort is the following approach:
1. Humbly observe where people in the community struggle.
2. Ask the question: What is the next smallest thing we can do right now to address that struggle?
3. Do that thing. Do it right now.
4. Repeat.
To assist cites and towns in working through this process, they have developed a number of tools, information resources, and a support network of grassroots groups who are done waiting for someone else to make their town better.
It’s time to get more people in the Rutland area engaged in this sort of mentality. Join us as we work our way through the free Strong Towns 101 course material. We’ll have time to watch the recordings, get to know our neighbors, and brainstorm how we can start building a Strong Towns base here in the Rutland area.
The first conversation is November 25 from 5:30-6:30 PM.
The following conversations will take place December 2, 10, and 16.
