DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled! Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region is hosting its Annual Meeting on Wednesday evening\, October 14\, 2020. Gates open at 5:30pm for food\, program begins at 6:30pm. The Annual Meeting Signature Sponsors are:   Cape Air\, Community Health\, GE-Aviation and Heritage Family Credit Union. This event will be held drive-in style at the Paramount Theatre Drive In at the Vermont State Fairgrounds and The Jack McKernon Drive In at Brandon's Estabrook Park to encourage physical distancing and will be limited to 56 vehicles in Rutland and 62 vehicles in Brandon.\n\n\n\nThe pre-recorded presentation will highlight what makes the greater Rutland Region such a special place to work\, live\, and play and will recognize our Community Leader of the Year\, Business Leader of the Year\, and Innovator of the Year award recipients.\n\n\n\nChamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region is proud to announce our annual award recipients for 2020\, who will be recognized at the annual meeting.\n\n\n\nHeritage Family Credit Union President and CEO Matt Levandowski is the recipient of the Business Leader of the Year award. Levandowski has called the Rutland Region home for almost 30 years ? 29 of which have been spent as part of the Heritage Family Credit Union team. Under his leadership\, Heritage Family Credit Union has routinely been recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Vermont.\n\n\n\nNancy Greenwood\, sales associate at Watson Realty & Associates PLC\, is the recipient of the Community Leader of the Year award. Greenwood served as co-chair for the Relay for Life Cancer Fundraising Walk from 2005-2017. She is an active member of Rutland City Rotary and volunteers with the Feline Connection. When the COVID-19 crisis hit\, Greenwood established the Help Vermont LIGHT UP the World Facebook group and encouraged others to put out a star or their holiday lights to lift the spirit of all and to thank essential workers.\n\n\n\nThis year?s recipient of the Innovator of the Year award is VT Terps. Founded in 2019\, by David\, Sam\, and Greg Markowski\, Dan Querrey\, Mark Atwood\, and Jim Gilmore\, the organization produces organic CBD products that are locally grown\, processed\, and sold. Currently they harvest from over 100 acres in Vermont and oversee the entire process from preparation\, planting\, maintaining\, and harvesting.  Recently the group designed and built a drying system unique to VT Terps. \n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are $25 per vehicle and will include a $25 voucher for food and beverage at the event. \n\n\n\nWe will be giving away two pairs of tickets from Boston to Rutland from Annual Meeting sponsor Cape Air\, and a corporate movie night at the drive-in at the Vermont State Fairgrounds from The Paramount Theatre.
