DESCRIPTION:Join the Rutland Rec Center for the Running Scared 5K\, our annual fun run where costumes are highly encouraged! Kids 12 and under participate for free\, and all registration fees support the Halloween Parade production. The race kicks off at 9 AM on October 25\, starting and finishing at Giorgetti Park. The stroller-friendly route follows the Creek Path to Meadow Street and back   perfect for families\, walkers\, and runners alike.\n\n\n\nPrizes will be awarded for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place in each age division\, along with prizes for best costumes. Please note: there are no road closures for this event\, and traffic support will end at 10 AM.\n\n\n\n  NEW THIS YEAR!\n\nThanks to our T-Shirt Sponsor\, Mitchell's Tees and Signs\, all registrations now include a race t-shirt!\n\n\n\n  Also New This Year!\n\nWe're proud to partner with Alison McAuliffe\, founder and coach of Every Run Coaching\, to offer three different 5K training plans with your registration!\n\nRegister HERE\n\n\n\nEach plan is 8 weeks long\, so we recommend registering by August 29th to complete your plan before race day.
