DESCRIPTION:Sea Glass Pendants \n\nwith Marla Cohen\nCome create jewelry from the ocean! In this sea glass class\, we will create pendants out of ocean tumbled sea glass and learn jewelry finishing techniques to complete the look.\n\nYou'll be able to wear your creations straight out of class!\n\nStudents will learn about the preparation of glass and how to use the drop shaft Dremel drill along with safety basics. The class will practice drilling samples of sea glass before progressing to drilling their selected statement pieces.\n\nFinally\, students will use jewelry hand tools to learn basic beading and finishing techniques like bails and jump rings. Multiple pendants may be made as time allows.\n\nThe instructor will provide a sampling of sea glass to practice on as well as a variety of statement glass pieces to choose from.\n\nStudents may bring their own pieces of sea glass to work on but please have it soaked in water for at least 1 week prior to class with a longer soak time for thicker pieces of glass.\n\nNo experience necessary.\n\nWear closed-toed shoes.\n\nPlease tie long hair back away from face.\n\nBring a water bottle and snack.
