Join Bianca Zanella, The Paper Poet, for a 10-week series of Writers for Recovery workshops, at the Turning Point Center of Rutland County, starting September 16, Wednesdays, 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Drop in to one workshop or come every week for the full series. September 16 ? November 25, 2026 (no workshop November 11 - Veteran's Day). You don't have to be a poet or writer to come, this space is for anyone seeking connection through expression and community support. Free and open to those in recovery or impacted by addiction or to those who are seeking connection rather than escape. Snacks & materials provided. Sponsored by VPLO - Vermont Prevention Lead Organization. VPLO Region 2 is a state-funded, locally administered program that supports the organizations across Addison and Rutland counties doing prevention work, helping people of all ages build healthier, more connected lives. Writers for Recovery provides writing workshops, trainings, and talks to recovery groups, residential treatment facilities, and recovery organizations. We help people discover the power of the written word to process trauma, build self-esteem, and support healthy, sustained recovery. Participants in Writers for Recovery workshops write deeply personal stories of struggle and perseverance, doubt and inspiration, and the slow but steady work of renewal and healing. They share their stories with the public through literary readings, the Writers for Recovery blog, our annual print anthology, One Imagined Word at a Time, and our newest venture, the Writers for Recovery Podcast.
