Artist Talk: Over 8 Over 80

Join us for a candid and fun Artist Talk with some of our OVER 8 OVER 80 (years young) artist members on
Saturday, February 21st at 3pm at the Chaffee Art Center.  Each artists will talk about their work, followed by Q & A discussion. Don't miss the chance to get to know these artists: Karen Seward, Ann McFarren, Mary Fran Lloyd,
Betty Johannesen, Mary Crowley, and Ginny Buckley.  There will be light refreshments for this FREE program.

Attendees can also experience our current Exhibit "Through Different Eyes: Perspectives on Art" that features multiple interconnected installations with the same theme. 

One gallery showcases OVER 8 OVER 80 with works of artists age of 80+ and perspectives from this generation of artist members.

Chaffee Artist Members works are on display with their “covered” written perspective next to each piece. After viewers look at the artwork, they can uncover and read what the artist’s perspective is.

Plus, our Annual Photo Contest with photos that feature the Chaffee Art Center (such as the Mansion, door knobs, fireplaces, distinctive features, both inside and outside). Visitors vote on submissions, and cards will be made from the winning photos.

Be sure to browse our Gallery Shoppe that is filled with handmade treasures and gift ideas for any occasion created by our artist members.  Exhibit will be on display until Feb. 27.

Plan to visit the Chaffee to experience the beauty of the 1890’s Queen Anne Victorian Mansion and the wonderful works of art throughout. Enjoy a hot cup of cider, tea or cocoa while you browse, or plan to meet a friend and cozy up in one of our many seating areas. Free Wi-Fi available.
