September 13/14, we will publicly celebrate the TEAMS with an ad in the Rutland Herald highlighting the fantastic support of participating teams.

The mission of Companions in Wholeness (soon: Rutland Neighbors) is to share meals and to provide safe space. We offer assistance and accompaniment for people who are experiencing homelessness, struggling with food insecurity, or living in poverty.

We have been hit hard due to the financial realities in the State of VT. The work we’ve done has been supported by grants — and the grants are drying up due to political actions in Washington D.C. We have moved to an all-volunteer team with hopes of receiving financial support so that we can build back with our vitally important skeleton crew. Until then, we’re not giving up on our neighbors in need whom we serve without judgment, with an eye on hope, with determination that today is a new day to care, try harder, and begin again.

As we try to build back, we have rescheduled our Care2Spare event for September 14. This is how you can help. Gather a TEAM of 4 for the event. Let’s be together, share joy, and inspire a hopeful next chapter. Thank you. Spread the word.
