The Champlain Philharmonic will return to Grace Congregational Church in Rutland on October 15th at 4:00pm to perform a collection of old and new works to celebrate the start of its 20th concert season. The program will begin and end with two works the CPO performed on their very first program twenty years ago; the Overture from the Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart and the fourth movement of Mendelssohn’s “Reformation” Symphony No. 5. The program will also include, Variations on a Shaker Melody by Aaron Copland, The Unanswered Question by Charles Ives, a movement from the Gaelic Symphony by Amy Beach, Pavanne by Morton Gould, Freedom by Milad Yousuf, and a World Premiere by Vermont composer Travis Ramsey.
