The Chaffee Art Center, Your Center for Creativity, invites the community to the opening of our new Exhibit "Reimagined II: The Art of Recycling” on Friday, September 12th from 5pm to 7pm. Back by popular demand, this is our 2nd annual exhibit featuring recycling art in many forms.
The exhibit will showcase Artists of all mediums whose work includes recycled materials, as well as a special Community Gallery area where members of the community will also have recycled pieces on display. Stop by this free event and enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles while you explore the galleries full of recycled art. Exhibit on display until October 24th.
Chaffee artist members’ works will also be on display and for sale throughout the mansion, as well as in the Gallery Shoppe that is filled with handmade treasures and gift ideas for any occasion. Be sure to take time to explore the 1890’s architecture and history.
Plan to visit the Chaffee to experience the beauty of the 1890’s Queen Anne Victorian Mansion and the wonderful works of art throughout, plus our Gallery Shoppe with old-fashioned candy! Enjoy a hot cup of cider, tea or cocoa while you browse, or plan to meet a friend and cozy up in one of our many seating areas. Free Wi-Fi available. Plus, don't forget to check out our 100-foot Pollinator Garden with native plantings, growing Sculpture Garden, and over a dozen gardens on the property.
While here, picture your next event, bridal shower, wedding, birthday, meeting, or retreat being held in our beautiful mansion, fondly known by its first owners as Sunny Gables. Hours: Wednesday-Friday 10am to 5pm; Saturday 10am to 3pm. Private appointments available by request.
