New to Medicare – Free Virtual Information Session Are you new to Medicare, preparing to enroll, or looking for a better understanding of your Medicare options? The Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging (SVCOA) is here to help make Medicare easier to navigate. Join SVCOA for a free New to Medicare virtual information session on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM via Zoom. This monthly training is designed to help older Vermonters better understand Medicare and feel more confident when considering their healthcare coverage options. During the session, participants will learn about the basics of Medicare and have an opportunity to ask questions, discuss their options, and get reliable information in a welcoming environment. Time will be provided for open conversation and questions about Medicare. This event is free and open to older Vermonters who are looking to learn more about their Medicare options, including those approaching Medicare eligibility, recently enrolled, or simply interested in better understanding their coverage. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. To register, call the SVCOA Helpline at 1-800-642-5119 or email lduffy@svcoa.net to request the Zoom session link. Medicare can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. SVCOA is here to provide information and support so you can make informed decisions about the Medicare options available to you.
