Post-Legislative Session Discussion w/ VT Chamber

CEDRR is pleased to host the Vermont Chamber of Commerce for a Post-Legislative Session Discussion. This session will take place on Wednesday, July 22 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM in the Workforce in Motion Streetside Conference Center at The Hub CoWorks, 67 Merchants Row, 1st Floor, Downtown Rutland. The cost is $25 and includes lunch from Kamuda's Country Market. You must register to attend this event. Please register no later than Friday, July 17.

This is an important opportunity for employers, community leaders, and stakeholders to hear insights from the 2026 Legislative session and the full 2025-2026 biennium and hear insights on how legislative and policy outcomes may impact businesses and communities across Rutland County and Vermont. There will also be time for an open Q&A session.

Amy Spear
Amy Spear is President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the state’s largest business advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the Vermont economy.
 
A trusted voice on Vermont’s business climate, Amy works at the intersection of economic strategy, public policy, and statewide collaboration. She partners with employers, policymakers, and community leaders to advance data-informed solutions that strengthen competitiveness, improve affordability, and support long-term economic vitality.
 
With more than 15 years of experience in economic development, tourism, and nonprofit leadership, Amy works with employers, policymakers, and community leaders to strengthen Vermont’s business climate and advance practical, data-informed solutions focused on affordability, workforce, housing, and long-term economic sustainability.
 
Amy lives in Killington with her family, giving her a close connection to the Rutland region and the businesses and communities that help shape Vermont’s economic future.
 
Kevin Chu
Kevin Chu is Executive Director of the Vermont Futures Project, a nonpartisan organization using data to support the evolution of Vermont’s economy toward a thriving future with opportunity for all.
 
Kevin grew up in Vermont and wants to grow old here, too. The son of immigrants and a graduate of Middlebury College, he brings a deeply personal perspective to the work of building a more affordable, abundant, and welcoming Vermont. Before joining the Vermont Futures Project, Kevin worked at the University of Vermont, where he led efforts in diversity recruitment, academic advising, communications, community engagement, economic development, and strategic planning.
 
Today, Kevin’s work takes him across the state, helping Vermonters understand the data behind Vermont’s greatest challenges and opportunities. He led the development and launch of the Vermont Economic Action Plan, a long-term roadmap focused on workforce growth, housing, affordability, and economic vitality. His leadership is grounded in a clear belief: Vermont’s future depends on people, places, and the courage to make bold, data-informed decisions.
 
Megan Sullivan
Megan Sullivan is Vice President of Government Affairs for the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, where she leads the organization’s policy team and works to ensure Vermont’s business community has a strong, consistent voice in Montpelier.
 
Megan brings deep experience in economic development, public policy, and business advocacy. Before joining the Vermont Chamber, she served as Executive Director of the Vermont Economic Progress Council. She previously worked for U.S. Congressman Peter Welch and the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center, giving her a broad understanding of the public and private sector systems that shape Vermont’s economy.
 
A trusted and pragmatic policy leader, Megan works with employers, policymakers, and partners across sectors to advance a member-driven, data-informed agenda focused on affordability, competitiveness, predictability, and long-term economic vitality.
 
Born in Vermont, she is a graduate of the University of Vermont and lives in Jericho with her husband and two children.
