The Chaffee Art Center invites the community to a hands-on workshop and talk "The Power of Tiny Art in Nature" by Jason Bemis on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:30–11:30am for Ages: Adult and 15+.
Mindful — Relaxing — Enlightening — Enriching — Insightful...Start your day with a fun, relaxing and insightful experience! Attendees will create a mini mandala using seeds, beans, rice, and more. Jason will show his process including how to plan the space and design a pattern. He will talk about the relationship of tiny art and nature. How small scale art makes both the creator and viewer slow down and notice intricate details. Often nature is used as a muse, incorporating things found in nature as inspiration, such as patterns of veins on a leaf or on butterfly wings. Jason will relate all this and more to his upcoming nature mandala project in Italy.
$10–20 sliding scale donation appreciated (includes tea & sweet treat)
Must pre-register by noon Friday before info@chaffeeartcenter.org / 802-775-0356.
