  2. Tiny Talk, Big Story

Don't miss "Tiny Talk, Big Story" on Friday, May 8th at 5:30pm at the Chaffee Art Center.
Join us as Melany Kahn, founder and director of Brattleboro Festival of Miniatures, gives attendees a glimpse into the magical world of miniatures. She will share about falling in love with tiny things as a young girl and how that led to the launch of the Festival in December of 2025. Bring your questions as there will be a Q & A.
This is a FREE program, light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP 802-775-0356 / info@chaffeeartcenter.org.
Attendees can also explore our current Exhibit, “A Tiny Point of View,” that features miniatures such as Dollhouses, Fantasy Sculptures, Art Gallery Boxes & Tiny Art in Many Forms. We are excited to collaborate with the Brattleboro Festival of Miniatures, the new Museum of Things Tiny and Found at the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery in Brattleboro, Dollhouse and Toy Museum of Vermont, and home of VT. MoMA (Vermont Museum of Miniature Art) in Bennington, Helen Greene, and many Vermont artists to bring you this fun, creative Exhibit! Chaffee artist members’ works are also on display and for sale throughout the mansion galleries and in the Gallery Shoppe that is filled with handmade treasures and gift ideas for any occasion. Be sure to take time to explore the 1890s architecture and history. Exhibit will be on display until May 22nd.
Plan to visit the Chaffee to experience the beauty of the 1890s Queen Anne Victorian Mansion and the wonderful works of art throughout. Enjoy a cup of tea or cocoa while you browse, or plan to meet a friend and cozy up in one of our many seating areas.
Free Wi-Fi available.
Hours: Thur & Fri 10am-5pm and Sat 10am-3pm.

Our mission is to use collaboration, creativity, and ingenuity to create a regional economic climate conducive to business growth by recruiting talent and businesses of all kinds, growing and retaining employers, while creating a bridge to community and cultural organizations which promote healthy and vibrant neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life in Rutland County.

How Can CEDRR Help You?

The CEDRR Board recognizes that cultural diversity plays a key role in economic growth, as people from diverse backgrounds bring language skills, unique experiences, new ways of thinking, innovative ideas and creative solutions to difficult problems. Therefore, the CEDRR Board condemns racism and welcomes all persons, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, age, or disability, and supports the protection of these classes. As an organization, we condemn discrimination in all of its forms and commit to fair and equal treatment of everyone in the communities we serve.
