Early Interventionist

Children’s Integrated Services at Rutland County Parent Child Center offers family support and early
intervention services that help ensure the healthy development and well-being of children, pre-birth to
age 5. Services are available at no cost to families.

Rutland County Parent Child Center seeks a full-time Early Interventionist in our Children’s Integrated
Services (CIS) Department. The CIS staff member works with children & families to provide Early
Intervention Services and Family Support: Early Intervention: Early Interventionists are trained
professionals who provide evaluations and services to babies and toddlers with developmental delays
or disabilities.

Family Support: Family Support Specialists provide individualized plans to assist families in
overcoming barriers and challenges (housing, transportation, childcare, etc.).
The CIS staff members coordinate services and collaborate with other providers to ensure family needs
are met. Work may be conducted in office, classroom, and home settings.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
• Early Intervention Certificate (required after 2 years in the field – training provided)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
• Strong communication skills (with children and adults)
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs
• Reliability in meeting firm deadlines
• Extraordinary patience and a genuine love for working with children and families
