Ever wish there was a place where you could learn practical life skills, ask questions, be heard, and develop relationship skills in a friendly, safe environment?   We have found such a place.  “The Life Center” (TLC) is the newly remodeled gray-sided building with a red front door located on 190 Grove Street in Rutland, two blocks south of the Rutland Country Club.

Dave and Dawn Lind are the program directors.  Dave, a Rutland native, attended Rutland High School and graduated from UVM in electrical engineering.  Dawn an educator who taught both in Rutland Public Schools and UVM is a certified life coach.  For almost 30 years they have been pastor and wife at Calvary Bible Church.

TLC offers classes, assessments and workshops from a faith-based perspective.  Dawn states that the TLC motto is: “Designed to equip you to make wise life choices from here to eternity.”  The classes touch a variety of felt needs such as: “How to pay off debt and spend wisely” (a course by Dave Ramsey) and a series on “Improving Your Parenting Skills.  Their flagship classes, “Discover Your Strengths” and “Who am I? … and What in the World am I Doing?” equip individuals to embrace their strengths and to discover their life purpose.  Dave says, “These classes are life-changing and very motivating.”
