We’re excited to announce our annual Spring Fundraiser! This event is a fantastic opportunity to rally support for our annual fundraising campaign. The money we raise is vital for local organizations that work tirelessly to help our community's most vulnerable members. Together, we can make a real difference!
In 2024, the United Way of Rutland County (UWRC) proudly provided funding to sixteen vital local agencies, including ARC, the Boys and Girls Club, BROC, Carving Studio, Come Alive Outside, Community Cupboard, Companions in Wholeness, Compassionate Friends, Rutland Housing Trust, Reinbow Riding, RSVP Bone Builders, RSVP One2One, Rutland County Health Partners, the Slate Valley Unified School District (Snack Sack program), Turning Point of Rutland, the Vermont Farmers Food Center (Education and Farmacy programs), and VNAHSR. Each of these organizations is committed to meeting the needs of Rutland County residents, particularly those facing poverty. Through our dedicated fundraising efforts and the annual Community Impact Grant cycle, we have allocated an impressive $114,900 to bolster these essential services!
Moreover, the United Way of Rutland County partners with local schools to fund two transformative health programs: Happy Feet and Welcome to Winter. These initiatives ensure that children receive warm, well-fitting footwear and winter gear, critical for their growth, education, and social integration. Teachers, counselors, and homeschooling coordinators play a vital role in identifying underserved school-aged children throughout the county who need sneakers and winter apparel. Through partnerships with locally owned businesses and community organizations, UWRC provides the necessary gear, empowering these children to thrive in school activities year-round.
We are hosting our annual Spring Fundraiser-Online Silent Auction and Indoor Golf Tournament, and we invite you to participate. The Online Silent Auction will begin on February 24th and run through March 2nd. The Indoor Golf Tournament will be held at Stonehedge Indoor Golf on March 1st.
We invite you to join us by forming a team of six to participate in the upcoming Golf Tournament! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, this tournament promises to be a fun experience for everyone. This year, the grand prize for the winning team is a one-night stay in a three-bedroom house at Mountain Top Inn! Additionally, there will be many other fantastic prizes available. We also encourage you to support our mission by considering a donation of products, services, or gift cards to our Silent Auction. The auctioned items will raise funds to support the initiatives mentioned above. As a contributor, your organization will be prominently featured on the Silent Auction website, showcasing your commitment to our community. Last year alone, the silent auction garnered over 5,770 page views and 331 bids, offering fantastic visibility and appreciation for your sponsorship!
