Hello Chamber Members and Friends!

I hope you are all adjusting to the changing of seasons and saluting the official “Stick Season”!

Thank you to all who attended our Rutland Region Chamber Annual Meeting at the Paramount on October 24th. It was an inspiring evening with Stefanie Schaffer as our guest speaker.  To support Stefanie’s ongoing recovery you can go to rutlandvermont.com/stefanieschaffer.  We were excited to share with everyone some of the great projects we have been working on throughout the year and some exciting things ahead. Congratulations again to Donald Billings– our Business Leader of the Year and Terry Jaye-our Community Leader of the Year! Well Deserved!  If you missed the Annual Meeting and would like to watch it you can CLICK HERE and watch it on PEGTV.com.  Thank you to the following businesses for their sponsorship of the Annual Meeting:  Cape Air, Heritage Family Credit Union and Alderman's Automotive Group.

In just a few weeks we will be welcoming approximately 30,000 visitors as the Women’s World Cup Ski Races descend on Killington once again. If you haven’t been up there during this amazing weekend, please go. Killington Resort and the Town of Killington as well as all the merchants, do a fantastic job of hosting this incredible event. It is truly a signature happening for our region and we appreciate the economic impact it has on our region as a whole. For more information on this great event CLICK HERE.

The REAL RUTLAND Marketing Campaign is in full swing with a redesigned RealRutland.com and messaging.  This is the 3rd year of the Regional Marketing Initiative and first with our new marketing firm LIFT.  The theme of the campaign is “The Life You Were Meant For”.

Have a great month – and don’t forget to shop in your own local stores – especially this upcoming holiday season. As always, thank you so much for your Chamber Membership and for your support so we can do the things we do to help this region thrive!
