Greetings Chamber Members and Friends,
As the weather changes, we reflect on all the great things the Rutland Region Chamber is currently involved in!

Our Regional Marketing Initiative is conducting an ENTER TO WIN Contest and inviting people to sign up for a weekend trip to our region over Indigenous People’s Weekend (Formally known as Columbus Day Weekend). We look forward to introducing a new family to all the great things about this place we call home. Thanks to Best Western Inn and Suites, Roots the Restaurant and Café Provence for their generous donations and contributions to the prize. Stay tuned for more information on the contest!

Please save the date for our ANNUAL MEETING Thursday October 24th at the beautiful Paramount Theatre. We are excited for an incredible evening of inspiration as we invite Stephanie Schafer to our stage. We will be highlighting our Business Leader of the Year as well as the new Community Leader of the Year. Watch for our announcements in the next couple of weeks!

The planning for Rutland Winterfest in underway and should be a dazzling highlight to our winter season. Watch for upcoming information – and if you are interested in hosting an event, let us know! There will be many new and exciting activities and events to participate in next February 14th through February 23rd 2020!

We have just finished a grant application with a new collaborative – THE RUTLAND WELLNESS COOPERATIVE – to get greater health and well-being for our community members through the work site. We have terrific partners in RRMC, Rutland Rec Dept., Heritage Family Credit Union, The Vermont County Store, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont, Come Alive Outside and the Vermont Department of Health. Look for the Summer Adult Passport Program next spring as we encourage businesses of all kinds to participate in work site wellness programming.

If you haven’t checked out 77ART recently, you are missing out! Two successful artist residency programs took place this summer with a third happening in October. The visiting artists add so much to our community as not only do they produce incredible art, they host artists talks, invite community to watch them create and interact with children and families. Check it out in October!

Thank you to our Chamber Members and area businesses that support the Chamber and all the positive activity that is happening in our region! We have a great intersection of collaboration between business and community that is a source of pride for our region!
