Come hang out, eat your lunch, or do absolutely nothing except put your toes in the grass (or not—we don’t judge). Touch Grass Tuesday is a casual weekly gathering on the library lawn meant to help us all slow down, reconnect, and enjoy being outside—together.
This event is made possible by Rutland Restorative Justice Center, the Rutland Free Library and Come Alive Outside.
🌱 Why bother?
Science says touching grass literally helps:
Lower stress and anxiety
Improve mood and focus
Regulate your nervous system
Boost creativity and immune function
Make you feel more connected (to the earth and your neighbors)
Whether you stay for five minutes or the whole two hours, you’re welcome. Come solo, bring a friend, or just wander by and wave.
